P&C Funds

How is the money used?

In Term 4 each year, the P&C sets its budget and decides how to allocate the money raised during that year. The budget is discussed and voted upon at the Term 4 P&C meeting (at which everyone is welcome).

Over recent years, the P&C has used Voluntary Contributions to fund:

  • Learning and Support Teachers – supplementing DoE funding of additional teacher aides for Kindy, for children with reading and other difficulties and for numeracy groups;
  • Technology – replacing, upgrading and adding technology such as iPads, computers and smart boards for all students K-6
  • Classroom & Take Home Numeracy and Literacy Resources – ensuring these are added to and replenished as school numbers increase.

Additional Fundraising Efforts have helped the school with major purchases such as:

  • Air-conditioning
  • Smart-boards
  • Covered outdoor learning areas (COLA)
  • Astro-turf
  • Playground Equipment
  • Plants and equipment for working bees; and
  • Resources for events such as the Kindy Welcome, Class Rep Information Morning and Grandparents Day.

But it doesn’t end there! It is also customary for Year 6 to donate a gift to the school each year. Funds for this are raised from Year 6 events such as the cup cake stall at the Athletics carnival and the Year 6 Fete, organized by the Year 6 children. Recent much appreciated items have been:
