2020 Pre-season refresher session TBC

Bookings for NSG players to attend the pre-season training session on TBC, are still open via the NETS website. Refer P&C home page.

Team Grading

All U10s, U11s and U12s girls registering to play netball for WPS Netball Club will be individually graded and allocated to teams based on their skills and ability. The grading process is independent and is undertaken by graders provided by Northern Suburbs Netball Association.

Coaches and managers from the previous season are also asked to rank and review the players in their teams. The U10s, U11s and U12s teams play in a competition where all Clubs individually grade both their players and teams to ensure all girls are playing in the division which best reflects their capabilities.

In registering your daughter to play for WPS Netball Club you agree to accept this grading process and the decision of the Club on team selection.  If you chose to withdraw your daughter from the Club following grading you will forfeit the registration fee.You can see more about our grading policy here.

For NetSetGo, the netball convenors will do their best to ensure that all requests to play with friends are accommodated. All U9s girls who are in Year 3 in 2020 can remain in their friendship teams from 2019. Girls STARTING to play in the NetSetGo comp in Year 3, 2020, will be allocated a team to play with. Friendship groups will be accommodated where possible.

Important Age Note for 7 year olds (2020): players who commence NetSetGo at age 7 (based on calendar year), may be required to play 3 years of NetSetGo.

Training begins in early March and is held either at School* or Willoughby Leisure Centre, before or after school. *Priority for the school court is given to the youngest teams. The school court will undergo renovation in 2020, so an alternative training location may be needed for part of the season.
